Nasrallah’s elimination is just the beginning, Gallant tells Israeli troops
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant visited the northern border.
He received reports from unit commanders and spoke with soldiers who told him about their service in the Gaza Strip and their deployment to the border with Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
“The elimination of Nasrallah is a very important step, but that is not all. In order to safely return the people of the north to their homes, we will use all the options available to us, including you. We are counting on you and on your abilities. This is the IDF's mission, and we will use everything necessary - your units, other forces, from the air, from the sea and from the land,” the minister said.
Reports confirming the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah emerged following an Israeli airstrike on Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut on September 27. The airstrike, part of Israel's ongoing military operations in the region, also reportedly killed other senior Hezbollah figures, including Ali Karaki, a top commander.
Hezbollah officially confirmed Nasrallah's death on September 28, 2024, marking a significant blow to the organization, which has been a major player in Lebanon and a key ally of Iran.
