OIC urges Armenia to fulfill its commitments

Azerbaijan's restoration of sovereignty in all its territories is welcomed.

This is stated in the final communiqué adopted at the end of the 15th Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), APA reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The communiqué expresses unwavering support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as well as the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty of each other, and calls for the implementation of Armenia's obligations in this direction.

The communiqué also reflects that the OIC changed the name of "Contact Group on the Aggression of the Republic of Armenia against the Republic of Azerbaijan" to "Contact Group on Elimination of the Consequences of the Aggression of the Republic of Armenia against the Republic of Azerbaijan", and Armenia is again condemned for destroying the samples of Islamic heritage.

The fate of Azerbaijanis expelled from the territories of present-day Armenia during the conflict is a matter of concern, and support for their dignified return is expressed in this direction.
