Organization of Turkic States eyes developing civil defence mechanism
The Organization of Turkic States ministers of emergency situations have discussed the creation of a civil defence mechanism.
Azerbaijan was represented by Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov in the Ministerial Summit on Natural Disaster and Emergency Management of the Organisation of Turkic States held in Ankara, Türkiye, the ministry told APA.
Speaking at the event, Heydarov stressed that the close integration processes between the Turkic countries, thanks to the political will and invaluable efforts of the leaders of the Turkic states, significantly expand ties in various areas, strengthen the unity and strength of the Turkic world.
Heydarov noted that the summit provides a good opportunity to discuss the joint efforts of the member countries of the organization to prevent and eliminate the consequences of emergency situations. The minister suggested holding the next ministerial summit on disaster and emergency management in Azerbaijan.
