OTS chief visits disaster zone in Türkiye PHOTO

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, visited the Turkish province of Kahramanmaras, which became the epicentre of two devastating earthquakes on February 6.

The OTS secretary general visited the local Coordination Centre of the Turkish Government's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and also visited search and rescue teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, according to Anadolu Agency.

Omuraliyev also visited the solidarity camp made up of tents and marquees from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan and toured the field hospital.

According to him, search-and-rescue teams sent to Türkiye from the aforementioned countries are working presently in Hatay, Gaziantep and other provinces.

"The Turkic world is one whole, one heart. We are with Türkiye," Omuraliyev said.
