Palestinian population in Rafah quadrupled in recent weeks - UNRWA

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has announced that the population of Rafah has almost quadrupled to over 1.2 million people in recent weeks due to the displacement of families during the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.

“There is suffocating congestion in the central areas, and people are struggling to obtain food and medicine and feel cold,” Jordan News reports.

UNRWA also expressed concern on their official X account about a lack of information regarding the situation in northern Gaza, citing numerous restrictions on access to the area.
