Poland receives first batch of upgraded Abrams tanks from US
Poland has received the first batch of US-made Abrams tanks in their newest version, the M1A2 SEPv3.
The announcement came online on the X page of the Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, per Caliber.Az.
“The first M1A2 SEPv3 ABRAMS tanks have arrived in Poland. 28 Abrams tanks, after being transported by sea, will undergo inspection, and then they will be deployed to the Polish Armed Forces. Eventually, we will have 250 such Abrams tanks,” the minister wrote.

This delivery follows Poland’s substantial 2022 order for 250 U.S. M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams tanks in a contract valued at $4.75 billion.
Notably, the Abrams M1A2 SEPv3 is a modernised configuration of the Abrams main battle tank (MBT) in service with the US Army. The new version offers enhanced protection and survivability, as well as higher lethality than its predecessors. The tank also features various advancements in technology, including improved armour, communications, reliability, sustainment, and fuel efficiency.
