President’s special rep: Azerbaijan working to realise tourism potential of liberated lands

Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district Aydin Karimov has said that Azerbaijan is implementing the "green zone" concept in Karabakh.

Karimov made these remarks during the annual high-level strategic consultations between the Azerbaijani government and the UN in Aghdam on March 16, Report informs.

He noted that while restoring these territories, high technologies are used in construction.

The special representative also noted the importance of unveiling the tourism potential of these territories, and the work is underway in this sphere.

Karimov said that work is also underway to create infrastructure for the return of internally displaced people to Shusha.

“We are working on the development of employment and human capital. The necessary infrastructure is being created in the city. We would like to create a reliable basis for a sustainable life for internally displaced people who will return there soon,” he added.
