Azerbaijan, Luxembourg hold political consultations
On 24 April, political consultations were held in Luxembourg between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, while the Luxembourgish side was headed by Veronique Dockendorf, Director of the Political Department at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the consultations, the sides held a comprehensive exchange of views on issues of bilateral cooperation. In this context, they reviewed the current state and prospects of political relations, cooperation in the consular field, economic ties, as well as humanitarian relations in the areas of education, science, and culture.
The parties emphasised the importance of mutual visits and contacts within the framework of international events in ensuring a sustained political dialogue.
Cooperation within international organisations, including the mutual support of candidacies, was also discussed.
The consultations included an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation in the region, the Armenia–Azerbaijan normalisation process, large-scale reconstruction, restoration, and demining efforts in the territories liberated from occupation, as well as other international issues of mutual interest.
As part of the visit, Rzayev also held a number of bilateral meetings in Luxembourg and participated in roundtable discussions organised at the University of Luxembourg.
