Azerbaijani Army crowns top marksmen in annual shooting competition PHOTO

The Azerbaijani Army has concluded its annual shooting championship, held among service members in line with the training plan for the current academic year.

According to the Ministry of Defence, speaking at the closing ceremony, officials noted that such competitions play an important role in improving soldiers’ proficiency in the use of standard-issue weapons.

It was emphasised that during the event, participants successfully completed tasks involving the engagement of targets at various distances using small arms.

At the end of the competition, servicemen who achieved the best results in both individual and team categories were awarded certificates of honour, cups and medals on behalf of the Ministry of Defence leadership.
