President Zourabichvili thinks EC president's Azerbaijan visit "missed chance" for Tbilisi

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili has recalled the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s recent visit to Azerbaijan and criticised the Georgian government for missing the opportunity to meet her, Report informs.

"We could ask the president of the European Commission to come to Georgia for half an hour to have a talk," the Georgian president said.

She noted that members of the government were supposed to meet personally in Brussels with high-ranking officials and discuss 12 conditions that Georgia should fulfil to receive an EU candidate status.

“It is necessary to work in this way. However, we prefer to blame each other, and each of us is convinced of being right,” the president added.
