Presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev praises media growth on Azerbaijan's TV and Radio Day
On November 6, Azerbaijan celebrates the Day of Television and Radio, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, took to social media to honour the hardworking professionals of the industry.
“On this day, we celebrate the birth of radio broadcasting in Azerbaijan, which began on November 6, 1926. Just a few decades later, on February 14, 1956, Baku TV studio made its first broadcast. Over the years, we have seen a remarkable growth in the number of radio stations and the launch of new TV channels, a trend that reflects the positive development of the sector,” Hajiyev wrote on X platform, per Caliber.Az.
