Putin: Relations between Russia, Azerbaijan developing very successfully

The relations between Moscow and Baku are developing successfully, Russian President Vladimir Putin said when opening a bilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on September 16. 

"As for bilateral relations, they are developing quite successfully, it should be noted, of course," the Russian leader said, TASS reports.

According to Putin, the volume of mutual trade is growing, as well as the volume of investments. He also drew attention to the cooperation between the two countries' ministries, departments and parliaments.

The Russian President said that during the day he had already managed to exchange views with Aliyev on the work of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, on bilateral relations and on the situation in the region.
