Rock band frontman’s private plane crashes into jet at Arizona airport, pilot dead VIDEO
A private jet owned by Vince Neil, lead singer of rock band Mötley Crüe, has crashed at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, US.
The crash resulted in the death of the pilot and left Neil's girlfriend injured, though the singer was not aboard the plane at the time of the incident, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The crash occurred when the aircraft veered off the runway and collided with another plane. Neil's 43-year-old partner, Rain Andreani, along with a friend named Ashley, survived the incident.
They were rushed to a nearby hospital, with Andreani reported to have suffered five broken ribs. The pair’s pet dogs, who were also on board, were unharmed. Mötley Crüe issued a statement confirming the pilot’s tragic death, and expressing support for the family.
"Earlier today, a private plane owned by Vince Neil was involved in a crash near Scottsdale, Arizona," the band wrote on social media. "The pilot was tragically killed; the co-pilot and other passengers were taken to local hospitals."
The band conveyed their condolences, stating that Andreani and her friend’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The statement continued: "As further details emerge, our hearts go out to the family of the pilot and the passengers who were injured in this tragic accident."
