Russia declares counter-terrorist operation regime in two Dagestan cities
The regime of counter-terrorist operation (CTO) has been declared on the territory of Leninsky and Soviet districts of Makhachkala and Kaspiysk.
The information was provided to journalists in the operational headquarters of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee in Dagestan, TASS reports.
"On March 31, 2024, the head of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan made a decision to introduce a counter-terrorist operation regime within the administrative boundaries of the Leninsky, Sovetsky districts of the city of Makhachkala and the city of Kaspiysk of the Republic of Dagestan from 05:35," the operative headquarters said.
As the Committee noted, in this territory "a number of special measures and temporary restrictions will be in force during the period of the counter-terrorist operation until a special order".
