Russia reports downing 130 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian Ministry of Defence officials have reported that their air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 130 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukrainian forces overnight.

The drone assault occurred between 23:00 on October 30 and 08:00 on October 31. 

The largest number of UAVs was downed over the Kursk region, with 31 drones destroyed. 

Other regions affected included Voronezh (21), Belgorod (14), Oryol, Tambov and Tula (nine each), Lipetsk and Yaroslavl (six each), Rostov (five), Volgograd (four), Kaluga (three), Ryazan (two) and the Moscow region (one).
