Russia, Ukraine, Türkiye, UN discuss opening of corridors from Odesa
Russia, Ukraine, Türkiye and the UN are considering the possibility of opening three safe corridors within the Istanbul mechanism from the ports of Ukraine’s Odesa city for the export of grain.
"At the first stage, the possibility of opening three safe corridors from the four ports of Odesa is being considered," a source in Ankara told a TASS correspondent.
Prices for products made from grain are expected to decrease by 20-25 per cent in Türkiye after the launch of this quadripartite mechanism and the beginning of the supply of agricultural products.
Meanwhile, the talks between the Turkish and Russian military delegations, which Ankara called positive and constructive, were held in Moscow on June 22.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defence noted that a decision was made to continue consultations on the export of Ukrainian grain between Türkiye and Russia.
Reportedly, a meeting on the grain problem is planned to be held with Türkiye, Russia, Ukraine and the UN soon.
