Russian army receives latest self-propelled guns

The Russian army received the first samples of the latest Coalition-SV self-propelled artillery systems at the end of 2023.

The state tests have been completed, mass production and production of the transport-loading machine have begun,  Rostec told TASS.

The state corporation believes that “this long-awaited vehicle will take the combat capabilities” of Russian artillery to a new level. It is alleged that the self-propelled gun has advantages over Western models in terms of firing range. “The Art Complex has confirmed all the characteristics laid down by the developers,” Rostec said.

"Coalition-SV" is based on the platform of the T-90 tank and is equipped with a 2A88 cannon of 152 mm calibre. The firing rate is more than 10 rounds per minute. The complex is also equipped with a modern system for automating the processes of gun guidance, target selection and navigation. Designed to destroy ground targets.
