Russian community of Azerbaijan condemns actions of Armenian leadership
The Russian community of Azerbaijan condemns the actions of the Armenian leadership and calls on the international community for urgent action.
This is said in a statement issued by the community in connection with another provocation by Armenia on the border with Azerbaijan, Report informs.
“Such behaviour is unacceptable at a time when the parties are negotiating the signing of a peace agreement mediated by Russia and the European Union. The delay by the leadership of Armenia in the process of signing this agreement, as well as the start of demarcation and delimitation of borders, leads to the emergence of such situations,” the community said in a statement.
It is noted that the purpose of the provocation was an attempt to destabilize the situation in the region, to prevent the signing of a peace agreement and the implementation of new transport projects.
The community also stated that having committed another provocation on the border, the Armenian leadership is not ashamed to turn to the CSTO with a request for help: “In our statement, we appeal to the world community and the leadership of the Russian Federation, whose peacekeeping contingent is currently deployed in Karabakh, with a request to call on the leadership of Armenia to comply with all agreements and stop all military provocations in the region.”
