Russian pundit: Military parade in Khankendi proves irreversibility of Azerbaijan's restored sovereignty
The military parade in Khankendi is a sign that the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty is irreversible.
The statement was made by Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defence magazine and political analyst, Azertag reports.
"On behalf of the Russian expert community, tens of millions of Russian citizens, I would like to congratulate the Azerbaijani people, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Victory Day. This is an outstanding event in the history of Azerbaijan, the implementation of the aspirations of the Azerbaijani people. Today Azerbaijan has fully restored its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Azerbaijan is a powerful, effective, modern state, which is striving for the future," Korotchenko said.
The expert particularly noted that in the Second Karabakh War and during the anti-terrorist activities in Karabakh on 19-20 September, the Azerbaijani army showed its effectiveness.
"The president of Azerbaijan, the supreme commander-in-chief has once again demonstrated the triumph of strategic foresight. The Khankendi military parade marks the firmness of the changes that have taken place over the past time. This military parade is a sign that the restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty is irreversible. Any aggressor who dares to encroach on the country's sovereignty will be defeated," Korotchenko stressed.
As the expert noted, today Azerbaijan has influential opponents: "We hear their voices, their lies, their slander, but in comparison with the Victory and effective model of state building of Azerbaijan, any ill-wishers simply pale and disappear. I am sure that Azerbaijan led by outstanding politician Ilham Aliyev deserves only success and forward movement".
