Russians top foreign buyers of property in Türkiye's Antalya

Russian citizens are in the lead on real estate purchases in Turkish Antalya. 

Chairman of the Board of "Helmann" Selman Ozgun said Antalya is one of the most attractive regions in Türkiye in terms of investment in real estate, Anadolu Agency reports.

According to this indicator, Antalya is the second after Istanbul. The region is also leading in the number of foreigners who have settled here.

A total of 41.7 thousand properties were sold in Antalya over the past five years, of which Russians bought 7978, citizens of Iran - 4396 and Germany - 3848. In the top ten countries are also Kazakhstan, Iraq, Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Britain, and Denmark.

"People from many parts of the world come here for permanent residence. Investments of local and global brands do not stop," Ozgun explained.

Assessing Türkiye's diversity in tourism, Firuz Baglikay, president of the Turkish Association of Travel Agencies, said Türkiye is such an important player that it "does not need to prove itself" in the world tourism market and that it has managed to become one of the world's preferred destinations under any circumstances.
