“We also discussed strengthening Moldova–Azerbaijan economic ties to the benefit of both our countries,” the Moldovan leader added.
The European Political Community (EPC) was launched in 2022 as a platform for political dialogue and cooperation between European countries, including both EU and non-EU members. Its main goal is to strengthen political coordination, promote security and stability, and foster economic, energy, and infrastructure cooperation across the continent.
The EPC provides a venue for heads of state and government to address regional challenges, share best practices, and coordinate on issues such as energy security, conflict resolution, and democratic governance. Unlike the EU, the EPC is not a formal supranational institution; rather, it functions as a forum for discussion and collaboration, helping to build trust and partnerships across Europe.
Summits are held periodically, bringing together European leaders to discuss pressing political, economic, and security matters. Azerbaijan has participated actively in EPC summits, using the platform to engage with European partners on issues such as energy, trade, and regional peace initiatives.
