Second Shusha Global Media Forum in spotlight of Euronews
Euronews has recently aired a report on the Second Shusha Global Media Forum, emphasizing its central theme of combating disinformation and its potential threats to future generations.
The report highlighted discussions on the importance of safeguarding professional journalism and fostering global cooperation to address fake news, Caliber.Az reports.
Held from July 20 to 22 this year, the forum attracted over 150 international guests from nearly 50 countries, including representatives from about 30 news agencies, three international organizations, and 82 media entities. The event featured four panel sessions.
Officials, journalists, civil society representatives, government bodies, business sectors, international delegates, and media experts engaged in exchanging views and experiences during these sessions.
Additionally, the forum addressed the measures and preparatory work related to the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, focusing on state-level climate change mitigation efforts, sustainable approaches in recovery and reconstruction in liberated territories.
The first Shusha Global Media Forum, held from July 21 to 23 the previous year, focused on “New Media in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
