Slovak minister: PM Fico to return to work soon
Slovakia's Defence Minister Robert Kalinjak has announced that Prime Minister Robert Fico is set to resume his duties soon following the attempt on his life in May.
Kalinjak indicated that while progress in Fico's recovery varies across different aspects, the overall trajectory is positive for his return to work, Caliber.Az reports citing the foreign media.
"In some respects, the progress is satisfactory, while in others it remains more complex, but Fico will soon be able to resume his responsibilities," stated Kalinjak during a press briefing.
The defence minister further mentioned that Fico is expected to address the public in the coming days, although it remains unclear whether this communication will occur in person or through social media channels.
Prime Minister Robert Fico was targeted in an assassination attempt on May 15, prompting concerns and widespread attention throughout Slovakia. His imminent return to office marks a significant development for the nation's political landscape, with ongoing interest in his recovery and readiness to resume leadership duties.
