Some 36 vehicles of Russian peacekeepers freely pass along Khankendi-Lachin road UPDATED

On the Khankendi-Lachin road, conditions were created for the unobstructed passage of another 23 vehicles of Russian peacekeepers.

According to a Report employee covering the action, one truck drove from Lachin in the direction of Khankendi, two cars and 20 trucks drove in the opposite direction.

The protesters did not impede the movement of vehicles used for humanitarian purposes.

Today, 36 vehicles of Russian peacekeepers drove unimpeded along the Khankendi-Lachin road.

On the Khankendi-Lachin road, conditions were created for the unobstructed passage of seven more vehicles of Russian peacekeepers.

According to Report correspondent, which covers the action, one passenger car and six trucks passed from Khankendi in the direction of Lachin.

The protesters are not obstructing the movement of vehicles used for humanitarian purposes.

Today, 11 vehicles of Russian peacekeepers drove unimpeded along the Khankendi-Lachin road.

Conditions have been created on the Khankendi-Lachin road for three more vehicles of Russian peacekeepers to pass through unhindered.

Another vehicle belonging to the Russian peacekeeping contingent have moved unhindered along Khankendi-Lachin road.

A supply vehicle drove from Khankendi towards Lachin, Report informs.

Azerbaijani eco-activists, who have been demanding an end to environmental terror in Karabakh region for more than three months, demonstrating their peacefulness, do not impede the movement of vehicles used for humanitarian purposes.

The protest action on the Khankendi-Lachin road against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the Karabakh economic region has been going on for 98 days.

Following the talks with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent on December 3 and 7, 2022  a delegation consisting of specialists from the ministries of economy, ecology and natural resources, the State Committee on Property Issues, mining company AzerGold was to conduct a preliminary monitoring of the illegal  exploitation of mineral deposits in the territory of Azerbaijan, where peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, as well as related environmental and other problems.  However, due to the inaction of the peacekeepers, the monitoring did not take place.

On December 12, 2022, Azerbaijani environmental activists, volunteers and representatives of civil society launched a peaceful protest demanding to put an end to environmental terrorism and stop the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits.
