Taliban’s rep claims complete eradication of IS in Afghanistan
Chief of Afghan Taliban's Armed Forces Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat has announced that there are no longer any members of the IS terrorist group operating within Afghanistan.
Fitrat declared, "IS has been completely eradicated from Afghanistan and is no longer present", Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
He also emphasised that Afghanistan is now secure and does not pose a threat to its neighbouring countries.
The Islamic State (IS) is a militant extremist group that gained global notoriety for its violent tactics and strict interpretation of Sharia law. Known for its extreme violence, IS employed tactics such as suicide bombings, public executions, and targeted attacks on religious and ethnic minorities. The group used social media extensively for propaganda and recruitment.
