Trump posts AI video prescribing "treatment" for political opponents
US President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video portraying himself as a doctor offering a "treatment plan" for political opponents and Hollywood celebrities suffering from what he calls "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS).
The AI-generated version of the US president says in the video that the symptoms of the disease can be relentless, Caliber.Az reports.
"Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS? The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I'm Doctor Trump, and I have a treatment plan," he noted in the video, which was posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.
The video goes on to feature AI-generated portrayals of several of Trump's critics, including television host Rosie O'Donnell, actor and stand-up comedian John Leguizamo, and Hollywood stars Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Julia Roberts.
In one segment, the AI-generated De Niro says his work has slowed dramatically because of "Trump Derangement Syndrome."
"I just needed help. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep. Constantly angry I made everyone miserable around me," the avatar says.
At the end of the video, Trump offers his opponents a mock "prescription."
"The treatment is simple. Turn off fake news. Say a prayer, and if you ever feel anxious, just have a diet Coke like me, and you'll see wonderful changes in your life," the AI-generated Trump says.
