US president suggests liberal billionaires behind attacks on Tesla
In a recent interview with Newsmax, US President Donald Trump suggested that billionaire investor George Soros and other liberal billionaires may be involved in the recent surge of attacks on Tesla cars and facilities in the United States.
Trump, speaking to host Greg Kelly in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, commended Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk as a "wonderful patriot." He noted that Musk, whom he described as a “legitimate guy,” had never asked him for any favors, including in relation to electric car mandates, which Trump had recently lifted, Caliber.Az reports.
“I believe that that [the attacks on Tesla] is part of it,” Trump said, drawing a connection between the lawfare against him and the attacks on Musk’s company. He speculated that individuals involved in his criminal trials, which are largely supported by liberal billionaires, could be behind the recent acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles, Cybertrucks, dealerships, and charging stations across the country.
Trump praised Musk's Department of Government Efficiency and emphasized his patriotism, stating that Musk’s efforts were ultimately for the benefit of the country. “He's never asked me for a favor,” Trump remarked, stressing Musk's independence.
While Musk himself has previously suggested that the acts of vandalism are likely the work of paid agitators, Trump’s remarks underscore the ongoing tensions between the tech mogul and certain political factions.
The President also reiterated his belief that billionaire liberals were behind his criminal trials and possibly involved in orchestrating attacks on Tesla as part of a broader political campaign against him and Musk.
