The signing ceremony, organised by defence technology company HAVELSAN, brought together senior figures from Türkiye’s defence sector, including Haluk Görgün, head of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), SSB Vice President Hüseyin Avşar, ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol, Roketsan CEO Murat İkindi, and representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces.

Addressing attendees, Haluk Görgün emphasised the strategic significance of the procurement: “The executive committee has approved the acquisition of both offensive missile and air defence systems for the Turkish Army. Within this process, Roketsan and ASELSAN, building on their previously developed systems already in our air defence arsenal, including short- and long-range solutions, have signed contracts for the supply of earlier acquired offensive systems and their upgraded versions.”
Görgün highlighted the ongoing efforts of Turkish defence companies, adding, “Our teams continue to work day and night to improve and develop existing systems, enhance their effectiveness, and expand their capabilities, ensuring the deterrent power of our armed forces.”
