02 February 2025 11:03

Turkish media outlets have criticized the anti-Azerbaijani statements of Garo Paylan, an ethnic Armenian member of the Turkish Parliament from the Peoples' Democracy Party (HDP).

The Yeni Akit newspaper, in an article titled "This man eats Türkiye's bread" drew attention, to the MP's words about preparing "within 3-5 years" for a new aggression by Armenia against Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

The publication shared a photo of Garo Paylan with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and also cited excerpts from his interview with Armenian media, where the MP, among other things, called on Irevan to "enlist the strong support of the United States and France."

The popular news resource Haber7.com also told readers about the scandalous interview of the Turkish MP.

The publication also cited Garo Paylan's post on social media following the interview, in which he hastened to disguise his attacks on Azerbaijan, citing distortion of words in the media. Garo Paylan claimed that Armenia, under the pretext of normalization with Azerbaijan, is buying time and purchasing weapons from France and the U.S. Later, the politician shared a post on social media attempting to veil his attacks on Azerbaijan, claiming that his words were distorted by the media.
