Turkish military takes action against terrorists in Iraq UPDATED

Turkish forces eliminated two more PKK terrorists in the Pençe-Kilit operation (Claw-Lock) zone in northern Iraq, the Turkish Defence Ministry said on March 27.

Irak’ın kuzeyindeki Pençe-Kilit Operasyonu bölgesinde tespit edilen 2 PKK'lı terörist, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerimiz tarafından etkisiz hâle getirildi. Böylece bölgede etkisiz hâle getirilen terörist sayısı 5'e yükseldi.

"Two PKK terrorists detected in the Pençe-Kilit operation area in northern Iraq have been neutralised by our Turkish Armed Forces. This brings the number of terrorists neutralised in the region to 5," the statement said, per Caliber.Az.

In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU – has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.

The Turkish Armed Forces have successfully neutralized three PKK terrorists as part of the ongoing Pençe-Kilit (Operation Claw) operation in northern Iraq.

According to a report by Caliber.Az, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense disclosed this significant development through its official social media platform X.
