Turkish president criticises activity of European Court of Human Rights

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticised the work of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

The president called the ECHR a court that is far from the principles of justice and makes politically motivated decisions, Anadolu Agency reports referring to the president’s corresponding statement, made in the Supreme Court.

“When it comes to Türkiye, politically motivated verdicts are made, however, when lawsuits on Germany or France are discussed, different decisions are made,” President Erdogan added.
