Türkiye detains nearly 2,000 suspected drug traffickers in nationwide operation VIDEO
In a sweeping crackdown on illegal drug trafficking, Turkish authorities have detained 1,933 suspects across 72 provinces, including major cities such as Bursa, Adana, Gaziantep, İzmir, Istanbul, and Ankara.
The announcement was made by Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya via his official social media account, Caliber.az reports.

“During the operations conducted in 72 provinces, including Bursa, Adana, Gaziantep, İzmir, Istanbul, and Ankara, 1,933 suspects were detained.
During searches, 927 kilograms of narcotics and 1,296,000 psychotropic pills were seized,” the statement said.
