At the Mobile Migration Points, computers linked to the GöçNET database, fingerprint devices, migration experts, and interpreters are available.
Through this initiative, we are actively combating irregular migration on the ground while ensuring that those with legal residency and tourists in our country are not disturbed.
Under the coordination of the Directorate General of Migration Management, and with the participation of the General Directorate of Security, the Gendarmerie General Command, and the Coast Guard Command, inspections were carried out in the fight against irregular migration and migrant smugglers in the cities of Gaziantep, Istanbul, Mersin, Adana, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Bursa, Tekirdağ, Antalya, Sakarya, Izmir, Samsun, Kocaeli, Kayseri, Eskişehir, Konya, Denizli, Muğla, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Manisa, Balıkesir, Aydın, Trabzon, Ordu, and Erzurum.
The processes to repatriate the identified irregular migrants to their home countries have been initiated. I congratulate the Directorate General of Migration Management for coordinating the inspections and the police, gendarmerie, and coast guard officers who carried out these operations.
