Türkiye: Minibus carrying farm workers overturns in İzmir, one dead, 11 injured PHOTO

A minibus carrying seasonal agricultural workers has overturned in Türkiye’s İzmir province, leaving one person dead and 11 others injured.

The accident occurred in the Kiraz district after the vehicle, driven by Ali Gezginer and transporting seasonal farm workers, lost control and overturned in the Değirmendere area, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

Emergency health, fire and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene following reports of the crash.

Authorities said Gülseren Gezginer, the driver’s wife who was among the passengers, died at the scene.

The injured driver and 10 other workers were taken to state hospitals in Kiraz and Ödemiş for treatment.
