Türkiye names 187 generals, admirals to new posts PHOTO

In line with the presidential decrees, as published in the Official Gazette, the duty stations of 187 generals and admirals of the army, navy and air force have been defined.

By this decision, 119 generals of the command of the Ground Forces, 30 admirals of the command of the Navy and 38 generals of the command of the Air Force are appointed.

Under the list of appointments of the command of the Ground Forces, published in the Official Gazette, Army General Irfan Ozsert is named second Chief of the General Staff; Army General Kemal - Commander of the New Aegean Army (Intibak); Lt-Gen Veli Tarakci - Commander of the 3rd Army; Lt-Gen Levent Ergun - Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces Command; Lt-Gen Metin Tokel is appointed commander of the 2nd Army; Lt-Gen Zorlu Topaloglu - Chief of Training and Doctrine of the Ground Forces; Lt-Gen Sezai Ozturk - Commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Maj-Gen Muammer Alper commander of the 5th Corps and Maj-Gen Tevfik Algan commander of the 9th Corps.

Under the list, Maj-Gen Burhan Aktas is appointed the head of the General Staff Department, and Maj-Gen Sait Cengiz Ozsoy as the head of the MEBS and Cyber Defense Department under the General Staff.

According to the Naval Command Admiral Appointment List, Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdem Koçer is appointed Chief of Staff of the Naval Command and Rear Admiral Mustafa Kaya as Mine Squadron Commander.

Rear Admiral Mehmet Savas Eser will serve as Commander of Naval Aviation, while Rear Admiral Mustafa Bicen will serve as Commander of the Dardanelles.

According to the list of appointments of the Air Force Command, Army General Ismail Guneykaya will be Commander of Combat Air Force; Lt-Gen Erdogan Gur the head of Air Training, Maj-Gen Ergin Dinc the head of the Air Force Academy; Maj-Gen Ali Ozmen Commander of Air Defense, and Maj-Gen Kemal Turan chief of the operations department of the Air Force Command.
