Ukraine looks forward to receiving new military aid package
Kyiv is waiting for the supply of weapons that will significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army and will be unpleasant for Russia.
This was discussed at the second online meeting of the Contact Group in Support of Ukraine (Ramstein-2), RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry Oleksii Reznikov on Facebook.
According to him, Ukraine has already received confirmation regarding the strengthening of its coastal defence. In particular, it is about launchers and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
“The solution was found thanks to the combined efforts of several of our partner countries. It was also about other pleasant surprises that will increase the power of the Ukrainian army, and will be unpleasant for the enemy. But more on that later," Reznikov wrote.
On May 23, an online meeting was held in the Ramstein format on military assistance to Ukraine.
So, as a result of which, according to the head of the Pentagon, Denmark offered to transfer Harpoon anti-ship missiles and launchers to them to Ukraine.
In general, after the meeting, new aid packages were announced, including the provision of critically needed artillery ammunition, coastal defence systems, tanks and other armoured vehicles.
