US embassy expresses condolences to Azerbaijan over deadly fire

The US Embassy has expressed condolences on the death of newborns in a fire at the Republican Perinatal Center in Baku.

“We express our heartfelt condolences to the families of the four young children who lost their lives in the fire today at the Republican Perinatal Center... We wish those who suffered related injuries a fast recovery,” the embassy wrote on its X social media account, Caliber.Az reports.

To recap, as a result of the fire in the Republican Perinatal Center in Baku on January 9, four infants died, and three people were poisoned by smoke.
