Azerbaijan, Iraq strengthen judicial, legal cooperation

16 July 2025 12:15

Azerbaijan’s Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov held a meeting with a delegation from Iraq led by Munther Ibrahim Hussein, Chairman of the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq, currently visiting Azerbaijan.

The meeting emphasised the longstanding solidarity between Azerbaijan and Iraq within various international institutions. Both sides agreed that mutual visits and high-level meetings serve as key drivers for expanding bilateral cooperation, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice.

Minister Ahmadov expressed optimism that the ongoing visit would provide fresh momentum to the development of legal collaboration between the two countries. He highlighted the extensive opportunities available for enhancing ties in the judicial and legal sectors.

Chairman Hussein thanked Azerbaijani officials for their warm hospitality and noted that reciprocal visits foster deeper cooperation in judicial and legal matters, contribute to progress in the legal field, and enable the exchange of valuable experiences.

In addition to bilateral legal cooperation, the sides discussed other issues of shared interest, further strengthening the foundation for future collaboration.
