Leader of Turkmen People's Council visits Victory Park in Baku PHOTO

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan, paid a ceremonial visit to Victory Park in Baku on July 16.

An honour guard was formed to welcome the distinguished guest, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

During the visit, Berdimuhamedov laid a wreath at the Victory Monument, honouring the bravery and sacrifice of the Azerbaijani people during the Patriotic War.

Berdimuhamedov was provided with a detailed briefing on Victory Park, which was established to commemorate the heroism displayed by Azerbaijanis in achieving a grand historical victory and to preserve the memory of the martyrs.

Victory Park was officially inaugurated on November 8, 2024, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
