Azerbaijan, Netherlands discuss strengthening bilateral, multilateral partnerships
Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the outgoing Ambassador of the Netherlands, Pauline Eizema, on July 15 as she concluded her diplomatic mission in the country.
Minister Bayramov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Eizema for her fruitful service and extended his best wishes for her future endeavours, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, as well as on the current regional situation in the post-conflict period.
The importance of reciprocal visits, engagement in international forums, and political consultations was emphasised as essential tools for advancing bilateral ties and exploring future prospects.
Minister Bayramov also briefed Ambassador Eizema on the ongoing situation in the region and the process of normalising relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Ambassador Eizema reflected on her nearly five-year tenure in Azerbaijan, expressing appreciation for the support she received during her time as the Dutch Ambassador in Baku.
She noted that she would always look back fondly on her diplomatic service in the country.
