US Oklahoma National Guard strengthens ties with Azerbaijan
A delegation from the Oklahoma National Guard visited Azerbaijan from November 4 to 6, reinforcing more than two decades of strong bilateral cooperation under the framework of the State Partnership Program.
The visit aimed to further develop collaboration across military, security, and community initiatives, building on a long-standing relationship between the US state and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.
The US Embassy highlighted the visit in a post on the social media platform X, emphasizing the commitment of both partners to deepening ties and fostering shared objectives.

“Building on two decades of strong partnership, a delegation from the OKGuard visited Azerbaijan November 4-6 to continue advancing bilateral cooperation under the State Partnership Program. This visit reaffirmed their shared commitment to regional security, peace, and stability, while deepening collaboration in cyber-defense, medical readiness, disaster response, and professional military education. Since 2002, the Oklahoma–Azerbaijan partnership has exemplified how close cooperation can not only strengthen defense ties, but also foster mutual understanding and trust between nations,” the post by the Embassy noted.
