Uzbekistan, Pakistan boost military-technical cooperation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law on the ratification of the agreement with Pakistan on military-technical cooperation.

The document was published in the National database of legislation, as reported by Gazeta.uz.

The agreement was signed in Islamabad on March 3, 2022, during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Pakistan. In May 2023, the Legislative Chamber of Uzbekistan adopted it, and in June, the Senate approved the law on the ratification of the agreement.

Earlier, approving the law, the senators noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in the military-technical field serves to increase the defence potential of the armed forces of the two states and strengthen the foundations of regional security.
