Voter turnout in presidential election across Russia rises to 65%, CEC says
Nationwide voter turnout in the Russian presidential election stood at 65.05% as of 12:50 p.m. Moscow time (9:50 a.m. GMT) on March 11, according to live update from the Russian Central Election Commission.
"[Voter turnout] as the election is going on: 65.05%," data on the information board of the election authority reads, TASS reports.
The data excludes the number of online voters though.
Russian presidential elections will be held from March 15 to 17, 2024. The president is elected for six years, until May 2030.
Among the registered candidates are Vladislav Davankov from the New People party, incumbent President Vladimir Putin, now in his fourth term in office, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, and Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
