West hinders Armenia-Azerbaijan normalisation process Russian Security Council chief says
Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev has said that the West seeks to destabilise the situation in the South Caucasus and prevent the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"We also see the Westerners' desire to rock the situation in the South Caucasus, as well as to prevent the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement, which led to the aggravation of the situation in these regions," Patrushev said while addressing the meeting of secretaries of security councils on Afghan issues in Bishkek, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
He also believes that the West is sowing chaos in different regions of the world to preserve its hegemony. In particular, there is a threat of creating a major hotbed of instability in Central Asia.
