West not going to fight for Armenia – Ex president's associate
Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s associate Eduard Sharmazanov has told the media that the West is not going to fight for Armenia.
"I don't know what level of armament, what quality we are talking about. Of course, I am not a military expert, so I will answer this question as a politician. As a politician, who is also interested in foreign policy, I got familiar with the publication of Le Monde, where it is interpreted that France is taking this step to throw dust in the eyes of the Armenian community of France," Sharmazanov said as he commented on the deliveries of French armoured vehicles to Armenia, Caliber.Az reports.
"I know one thing: the world is moving towards regionalization. After the Russian-Ukrainian war, the world will no longer be global, but regional, as well as our region. Nikol Pashinyan is so illiterate that he does not realize that there are two powerful armies in this region: Russian and Turkish. It is necessary to ally with either the Russian or Turkish army. Leaving his true ally - Russia, Nikol Pashinyan is not even negotiating with Iran, he is relying on the West, France, and NATO. Will the West come here to fight for us? Will Türkiye leave if a Western soldier comes here? Türkiye is the West's ally in this region," Sharmazanov said.
