Yerevan re-enlisting soldiers from Garabagh into service Armenian tricks

“Servicemen of the Nagorno-Karabakh defense army can continue serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.”

Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan told reporters, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

“It would be desirable for us if military personnel of the defense army join the Armenian Defence Ministry as they are our compatriots, and with their experience and military knowledge, they can benefit the armed forces of the country,” Sargsyan noted.

We should note that there was no trace of any “Garabagh defense army” and the occupation forces of the Armenian armed forces, directly subordinate to the Armenian General Staff, were stationed on the territory of the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan. These units were manned by conscripts from Armenia, command and officer personnel were appointed to positions by orders and instructions of the Armenian defence ministers. Sargsyan’s statement is yet another clumsy attempt by Yerevan to hide the presence of its troops on Azerbaijani territory.
