Zelenskyy confirms strike on Russian Dubna facility near Moscow
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Ukrainian forces carried out a strike on the Dubna Space Communications Centre in Russia's Moscow region, describing the facility as a key element of Russia's military communications infrastructure.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy said the attack was part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign of long-range strikes against military-related targets inside Russia.
"Today, our long-range sanctions against Russia once again reached the Dubna Space Communications Centre in the Moscow region. This is a special satellite communications facility used, among other things, for intelligence gathering and coordinating the activities of Russia's military contingent in Ukraine.
This facility is located more than 500 kilometres from our state border. Recently, Ukraine's Defence Forces also struck four such Russian centres—not only in the Moscow region but also in the Vladimir region. Step by step, we are implementing our plan of long-range sanctions and making it as difficult as possible for Russia to conduct its aggressive operations against Ukraine and occupy our territory. Similar measures against other such Russian facilities are also being prepared," Zelenskyy wrote.
