“Criticism towards CSTO - unfounded” Russian MFA harshly responds to Armenia
Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova has said that some Armenian politicians critisise the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) which is not beneficial and does not contribute to the search for verified mutually acceptable solutions.
Zakharova made the remarks at a briefing on September 29, according to Caliber.Az.
The spokesperson noted that there is little sense in such destructive statements.
Zakharova also commented on the statements made by Armenia about the activity of international observers on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“It is impossible to replace the actual trilateral agreements with something imaginary,” she said.
Moscow stands for the full implementation of the tripartite statements. They contain a set of measures to resolve the situation, agreed by countries that are part of a long conflict. This is a real, not an imaginary road map, she said.
Zakharova noted that many people want to replace these agreements with themselves and their ideas.
“They promise a lot, but there are no results,” she added.
