How many people actually attended Khankendi rally?
On December 25, Armenians living in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan held a rally in the city of Khankendi. Armenian sources claimed that it was "crowded" and gathered 70,000 people.
However, Faktyoxla Lab has verified the accuracy of this information.
To count the number of people that were involved in the rally, on the Mapcheking application contours were added to the perimeter of the area that hosted the action on the square in Khankendi. Based on photos and videos, it was found that the density at the right and left edges of the square is very low (0.7 people per sq. km), given the length of 220 metres and the width of 7 metres of rags brought to the square and the space in front of the podium, and also based on the fact that there are an average of two people per square meter, we entered these data into the Mapcheking application. The result was 17,581 people.
Once again, we note that all these facts are taken from Armenian sources.
Thus, on December 25, the rally of Armenians in the city of Khankendi in the Karabakh economic region of Azerbaijan gathered not 70,000, but 17,581 people. In the information from Armenian sources, the figures were repeatedly overestimated.
