President Erdogan lauds Turkic world's quick reaction to assist quake-hit Türkiye

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Ankara had asked for international assistance due to the devastation caused by earthquakes on February 6 and the Turkic world was the first to respond.

According to Azertac, Erdogan's remarks came on March 16 during his speech at the extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara.

The President of Türkiye noted that rescuers from the Turkic states saved the lives of many Turkish citizens.

“My people will never forget your support. The European Commission and the Swedish Presidency will organize an International Donor Conference. I have no doubt that you will also support this international assistance initiative,” Erdogan said.
